Our mission is to collaborate with partners that share our vision to intervene within our sphere of influence and possibly stop the ripple effects of decay in our society by providing funding for educational support, accelerating skills acquisition and poverty alleviation through micro-credits.
Our Story
We have a severe social crisis in Nigeria with widespread manifestation of failures of the social systems, and as concerned citizens, folding arms to watch would make different facets of our society deteriorate irretrievably. At AU Amorha Foundation, our mission is to collaborate with partners that share our vision to intervene within our sphere of influence and possibly stop the ripple effects of decay in our society by providing funding for educational support, accelerating skills acquisition and poverty alleviation through micro-credits.
Our Projects
We have designed, partnered and sponsored the following projects
Entrepreneurs' Support
We provide seed capital and loans to business owners to enable them either start a new venture or grow an existing business. Beneficiaries of this project include Ezelu-Uwalu Women and St Thomas Women, Aku, individuals with business start-ups.
High School Scholarship
Financial support is provided to secondary school students, especially gifts from less privileged homes for their school fees. Scores of students in Aku, Enugu State have benefited from this project.
Undergraduate Scholarship
Financial support for undergraduates aimed at helping lighten the burden of undergraduate education. In the last ten years, more than four hundred student have benefited from this across different villages in Aku
Summer Extramural Lessons
We collaborate with the Aku Undergraduates Union (AUU) to deploy the summer school learning program for students in JSS1-SS3, which also offers the undergrads exclusive extra-curricular training and leadership experience.
